Free: the Pre-Due Reminder email template
The first email in the Echo Theory follow-up schedule, sent 7 days before an invoice is due. It's less about the reminder and more about catching problems early: a missing PO number, a wrong contact, or an invoice that needs someone else's approval.
- Ready-to-copy subject line and email, with bracketed fields to fill in
- An optional early-pay discount paragraph (with a fairness note)
- A short how-to-send checklist and a note for your bookkeeper
One-page PDF. For business-to-business invoices. General information, not legal advice.
Sound familiar?
Cash stuck in invoices you've already earned
The work is done and the invoice went out, but the money hasn't come in, so payroll, suppliers, and growth wait on your customers.
Follow-up happens when you remember
You're running the business, so the reminder goes out late, the call doesn't happen, and a slightly late invoice quietly becomes a very late one.
Payments you can't match
No remittance, a short pay with no explanation, or the same invoice paid twice. Each one costs time, and some are quiet complaints you never heard about.
Coming soon: the Echo Theory toolkit
The full toolkit is being finished now. It's not on sale yet. It is planned to include:
Set up for success
A payment terms and remittance guide for new customers, and a notice for changing how you accept payments.
Follow-up emails and letters
A steady schedule from the pre-due reminder through day-1, about day-30, and about day-60 notices, plus a payment plan confirmation.
Cash application templates
Missing or incomplete remittance, short-pay inquiry, duplicate payment, and unexpected deduction.
Notes for your bookkeeper
Plain-language accounting notes on discounts, late fees, payment plans, credits, and write-offs.

FAQ
Is the template really free?
Yes. Enter your email and you'll get the download link right away. There's nothing to buy, and the product-update box is optional.
Can I buy the full toolkit now?
Not yet. The toolkit isn't on sale. If you'd like to hear when it is, tick the optional box when you get the free template.
Will this guarantee I get paid faster?
No. Results vary by customer, industry, contract terms, and how consistently you follow your process. The template gives you a clear starting point; it doesn't guarantee payment or any cash-flow result.
Is Echo Theory a collection agency?
No. Echo Theory provides do-it-yourself templates. It doesn't contact your customers or collect money for you. You send every message yourself, in your own business name.
Can I use this with individual (consumer) customers?
No. The templates are designed only for business-to-business invoices. Collecting from individuals for personal, family, or household purchases, including homeowner jobs, is covered by federal and state consumer collection laws. Don't use these templates for those accounts.
